Mind games

Howdy from the land of cloudy skies and hunting hawks!

Damn co-workers brought cookies and cheese cake to work today. The cheese cake is sitting right out in the open on a table I got to walk by when I leave my office. Good thing it does not smell because just looking at it makes me drool like a 12 week old pup looking at a chicken leg!

But alas, it is all in my mind! I guess it is better to have it on my mind than in my belly.

One good choice a day is great.Having to make a good choice every time I get up sucks!

  1. Not eating cheese cake is easy for me, I can't stand the stuff!

Some other things are harder to resist, but since I have many healthy things that I like, I can just stick to those. At least that's what works for me.

Having planned food at work helps friends of mine with avoiding most of the tempting stuff that always shows up in the workplace.

  2. Sometimes I can look and not mind at all, other times I just really got a battle on my hands. Mostly, if I real busy it is OK.

Oh well, I passed on the stuff and my tuna was FINE!

    Thanks Dr.J

  4. Unfortunately I have a sweet tooth even though I tell myself I don't. You are a good example Bill!

  7. Most of my working days were spent in hospital ERs. Pharmaceutical representatives in those days would visit docs in the hospital & leave various gifts as good-will tokens. One rep would bring in a box of donuts. One day I got tired of hiring the rest of the staff complain about how tempted they were by those donuts, how they really didn't need to eat one, they wish they weren't there, etc. etc. Finally I couldn't stand the complaints any more and flushed the remaining donuts down one of the toilets. Then the staff complained about me wasting food.

  8. Look into taking Chromium Picolinate 200-400 micro grams a day to control sugar cravings. It's over the counter and very inexpensive.
